For a lot of us, the bamboo ceiling, the invisible barrier that's kept Asian professionals out of leadership rooms for decades, wasn't just about being passed over. It was about being in the building without ever being handed a chair. The Table is what I built on the other side of that, and what I want to build with you.
My first real burnout came the day I was passed over for a job I was already doing. It really stung and I had no tools, no resources, and no community to help me process it. I had my mom, who was always my rock. Her advice was to keep my head down and work harder.
Even then, I knew that wasn't what I wanted.
My mom has since passed. But years of coaching since then have shown me something I couldn't fully see in that moment, that there is a real need in our community for exactly what I didn't have back then.
This isn't generic corporate wellness content with a diversity label slapped on it. It's what I needed and couldn't find, so I'm building it for us instead, a living, breathing container that keeps growing as we do.
It shifted how I show up as a leader, more centered, intentional, and present. This experience elevated not just my leadership, but the way we lead together.
